DXRacer chairs are great chairs with solid build quality, firm support, and cool design. The only bad thing is that choosing the right DXRacer can be quite a challenge since the company sells so many chairs. In fact, even though I’ve reviewed, tested, and written extensively about the chairs, it still gets a bit confusing when trying to recommend people which chair to buy!
The company sells chairs in different sizes, chairs in different colors, and even chairs in different styles. So at the end of they day, I can’t blame you if you are feeling frustrated or even just plain confused with purchasing a DXRacer chair. However, in this DXRacer chair guide, I will help you find the perfect DXRacer chair in the easiest way possible.
How can I do this? Well, I’ve crafted a table that shows you a ranking of the chairs from size, weight, and price. The further down the table you get, the taller and bigger the chairs are.

Are DXRacer Chairs Expensive?
An important thing to consider about DXRacer chairs is that they are fairly expensive. Sure, they aren’t as expensive as my main ergonomic chair that I sit in for 8-12 hours a day for 7 days a week (Steelcase Leap), but they are much better than most chairs out there on the market for gaming.
DXRacer chairs go from $200-600 roughly. You can get cooler styles and better comfort when you purchase a more expensive DXRacer, but most of the models do look similar in the mid-price range. However, while pricing is important, the most important part of choosing the right DXRacer is how it fits your body so it’s comfortable.
Even if you are limited by budget, you simply shouldn’t buy a chair that is cheaper since it might be too small. For example, if you’re 6’0”, you will not fit the cheapest DXRacer chair. While it sucks, DXRacer does make you pay more for bigger chairs since it’s more expensive to ship these chairs and the amount of material in the chairs requires more costs.
However, you can also find that sometimes it’s just a matter of preference, not fit. For example, some chairs like the DXRacer Classic Series competes with cheaper chairs like the DXRacer Origin and DXRacer Formula. The reason is that the Classic series has a different design, with less wings and ridges which some people prefer. Other chairs like the Boss Series compete with the Racing series.
Basically, the more premium / new looking DXRacer chairs that have more of an “executive” look are probably a bit more comfortable and nicer looking, whereas the older legacy chairs which are more well known to represent the brand, hold true to the $200-400 price point.
Are DXRacer Chairs Comfortable?
So, are they? It’s mainly a subjective opinion. I’ve found a ton of people who claim that the chairs magically solved their back pain and an equal number of users who claim that the chairs are marketing garbage. So what’s the truth? Well…
You’ll find many a streamer or fancy gamer office using the chairs, but are they actually worth using, or do these people just use the chairs because they got them for promotional purposes?
Well, as someone who has personally tested and used the DXRacer Sentinel Series, I can say that the chairs do have their pros/cons.
DXRacer chairs are very firm, so if you like firm supportive chairs, they are a good option. However, if you like super plush chairs, they might not as good of an option. Maybe consider getting a Lazyboy? (Most cushioned office chairs wear out over a year.)I can also say that having the chair in my room was very impressive and I just loved the “feel” of the chair when using it. The only thing about my DXRacer that bugged me is that I’m using to moving around more in my chair since I use the Steelcase Leap, and coming to the DXRacer chair felt a bit too restrictive. However, I think they are great for gaming/watching movies.

Are DXRacer Chairs Easy to Build?
Yes, moderately so. The hardest part of assembling DXRacer chairs is that they can be heavy. However, I built one of the heaviest versions by myself with minor difficulty.
DXRacer chairs come pre-built with the arms already on. All you do is attach plastic baseplates to the bottom foundation of the door. Then you pop the wheels in. Once you do this, you simply screw the bottom seat panel of the chair to the back. Just be sure to keep track of the pre-installed screws on the side of the chair that require removal before you reinstall them. Sometimes if you aren’t careful, they can drop down into the leather of the chair!
Are DXRacer Chairs Refundable?
The bad news about DXRacer chairs is that since they are so large and difficult to ship, the company does charge restocking and you have to pay to ship the chair back yourself. However, the company does have good customer service and seems eager to make its customers happy and keep its reputable reputation.
Are DXRacer Chairs Reliable?
The chairs are built like tanks. The seat panel, back panel, and foundation of the chair is very sturdy. However, some parts, like the arms are a bit flimsy and poorly constructed. For the most part, I just kept my arms out of the way. For functionality, they work fine if you just leave them at one height which is fairly standard once you find the right height. However, if you find them uncomfortable, check out these cool squishy memory foam armrest pads you can put on the DXRacer armrests.
