The Sole F80 and Sole F85 have similar console experiences, as they look very similar and perform in similar ways. However, the Sole F85 has a bigger console that is 10.1″ TFT LCD (better clarity) that might make it easier to read your workout stats while the Sole F80 has a 9.0″ LCD panel that is white back-lit.
The Sole F85 has a more powerful motor than the Sole F80 which might give it more power for running experiences. The Sole F85 has a 4.0 horse power motor vs. the Sole F80’s 3.5 horse power motor. The F85 can handle more strenuous workouts, but both motors are excellent for basic use.
The F85 has a reinforced deck which makes it a bit more durable and gives it a higher weight limit than the F80 (F85 has 400 lb weight limit vs. the 375 lb weight limit of the F80).
The F85 offers a lifetime warranty on the frame, motor, and deck while it offers a 5-year warranty on electronic parts. The F80 offers the same but a 3-year warranty on the electronic parts.
Both treadmills fold similarly and have automatic “Easy Assist Folding Deck Design” which allows the deck to unfold itself.
Both treadmills have a 2 Ply belt.
Both the Sole F80 and Sole F85 have the same 15 level incline.
Both treadmills allow speeds up to 12 mph. However, the F85 has 2.75″ rollers while the F80 has 2.5″.
Both the Sole F80 and F85 have six standard programs, two custom programs, and two heart programs.
Each model has the same extra features including fans, Bluetooth ability, speakers, and things like pulse grip and chest strap compatibility.
The F80 and F85 are the same sizes but the F80 is slightly shorter in length than the Sole F85. The F85 is 57″ tall, 83″ in length, and 37″ in width whereas the F80 has the same height, 82″ in length, and the same width. The F85 is also 301 lbs while the F80 is 278.
The F80 and F85 are two very similar products with only a few differences. The F85 has a better screen, a more sturdy deck (and thus bigger weight), and a better motor. If you value the higher-resolution screen and plan to put some serious running on a treadmill, the F85 might be the better choice–but the F80 is perfect if you don’t need any of these extra features.
