Good / The ProForm Power 995i Treadmill comes with a ton of great features like a 3.0 CHP motor, a stylish display, iFit integrations, speakers, and fans to make the higher asking price worth the cost.
Bad / ProForm Power 995i Treadmill is heavy and can be hard to set up.
Verdict / The ProForm Power 995i Treadmill is one of the best treadmills on Amazon since it is reliable, well built, and provides a running experience that won’t make you regret your purchase. You can keep this treadmill for years instead of months! However, if you have even a bigger budget for your treadmill, you might want to splurge a little to get an even better treadmill with a better display and experience (the Sole F80).

Price

The ProForm Power 995i Treadmill is a more expensive treadmill on Amazon than we are used to (retails for $949 on Amazon)–but for the increased price, you get more features and reliability–which is what you want from a treadmill, since it’s a significant investment (hard to return and you don’t want to have to keep buying them and dealing with shipments).

In this ProForm Power 995i Treadmill review, we will go over if the price matches the features and longevity, and if there are any negative comments about the treadmill that we can find that bear credibility.

Features

ProForm Power 995i Treadmill Review

The ProForm Power 995i Treadmill comes with a more powerful motor than some other treadmills we’ve reviewed lately. It has a 3.0 chp drive System that should be great for most serious workouts, a 20 x 60 non-stretch 1-ply commercial belt, proshox cushioning, space saver design and easy lift assist when you need to fold it up.

Some other specs include a 2.5″ Precision Machined and balanced non-flex roller, 7″ backlit iFit display, and iFit Workout Apps matrix. The display looks quite cool, with a circular center that gives you information like endurance, tempo, and peak zone. It’s a step up from some $800-900 treadmills we’ve looked at which have very lackluster screens.

Other neat features include the ability to use a tablet to simulate a more real running experience through iFit that lets you import Google maps to make it seem like you are running outside. To make the experience, even more, fun, you can plug in your iPod or iPhone with Compatible Audio (2-2″ speakers).

The 3.0 CHP motor gives fast speeds with a range of 0-12 MPH, and the incline is quite good too with a range of 0-15%.Finally, you have the standard pulse grip, but you also get cooling fans to cool you off during your workout.

The ProForm Power 995i Treadmill has a great range of features that are essential for serious workouts like the powerful motor, good incline rate, and the amount of exercise programs (30 are available). However, the ProForm Power 995i Treadmill also comes with neat extras like the iFit integration, speakers, and cooling fans to make your workout worth the higher price point.

Longevity

The ProForm Power 995i Treadmill starts out strong at first glance with a lifetime frame and motor Warranty, three years on parts and a one-year labor warranty. Most users have positive things to say about the treadmill, and there aren’t a ton of complaints about quality issues which is to be expected since you are paying more for better quality parts and construction.

Some think that the treadmill is cumbersome and hard to build (and hard to move around the house) and that the interface is a bit hard to use at first. These are small issues, however, since the treadmill seems to be very sturdy, well built, and reliable.

The better your treadmill is, with a bigger motor, and larger running room, the heavier it is bound to be. You don’t want your treadmill being so light that it will fall apart in a few months like some treadmills we’ve reviewed.

ProForm Power 995i Treadmill Review Conclusion

The ProForm Power 995i Treadmill is the best treadmill we’ve seen on Amazon that will be worth the price in the long run if you are willing to invest more cash upfront. There are much cheaper alternatives than the ProForm Power 995i Treadmill, but you won’t get the power and reliability that we noticed in the warranty, reception, and features of this treadmill.
