If you need a gaming chair, you need something that can support your rear and back for many extended hours. If you don’t get a supportive chair, you might find that you develop hip, lower back, or even neck pain from uncomfortable padding or postures.
Whether you’re a hardcore WoW raider or a competitive CS:GO player, you need a good chair. However, maybe you just spent a ton of money on a new computer, and you don’t have a ton of money to spend on a chair.
My personal favorite chair is the Steelcase Leap chair but not everyone can afford or needs such a chair. If you work 40+ hours a week from home, like I do, maybe you do. (These chairs can last longer than 15 years, as seen in my Steelcase Leap review). So maybe you’re here looking for a good chair for a cheap price, and that’s fine since there are plenty of options available.
First, however, you need to decide which kind of style you want. Do you want a racing-styled chair? Do you want an office chair? Racing styled chairs usually have high backs, firm padding, wings on the side for style and the ability to recline almost completely to 180 degrees. Office chairs are often super adjustable in ways that gaming chairs aren’t (adjustable seat panel to move forward and back and more recline tension features) but they lack the traditional comfort from the gaming chair design.
Today we are focusing more on gaming styled chairs which are perfect for gaming or Netflix binging, but if you want an office chair that is great for gaming, check out this article here. Office chairs can also provide a good gaming experience since they tend to have more adjustments, but they don’t have the same aesthetic–that’s for sure!
In the following table, I have picked out a good variety of mid-price gaming chairs, to more cheaper gaming chair alternatives.
E-Blue Cobra Gaming Chair
Merax Racing Style Chair
Argomax Mesh Ergonomic Chair
Kinsai Gaming Chair
B991-CP Heavy Duty
Homall Gaming Chair
IntimaTe Gaming Chair
However, if you are willing to make more of an investment, I think that the E-Blue Cobra Gaming Chair is a GREAT option. It’s uniquely styled, and very comfortable and only costs $258, which isn’t that bad for a gaming chair at all.
